1. Remove a cap from a tank of brake fluid. |
2. Turn off nuts of fastening of wheels, lift a back part of the car and establish it on support. Block forward wheels. |
3. Remove a wheel and release the emergency brake. It is necessary to replace all four brake shoes of back brakes at once. Not to mix them, work on each of wheels in turn. |
4. Get the top and lower bolts and remove a support from brake shoes and the holder of blocks (see rice. Elements of a support of back disk brakes). |
5. Suspend a support on a suspension bracket spring by means of a piece of a wire; do not allow a support to hang on a brake hose and a rope of the emergency brake. |
6. Remove external antinoise laying and an external brake shoe, and then internal antinoise laying and an internal brake shoe. |
7. Remove two fixing plates of brake shoes; examine them on existence of damages and replace if it is necessary (good plates at installation on the holder of blocks have to be latched; if they weakened or are deformed – replace them). |
8. Carefully examine a brake disk, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 9.7. If its surface needs processing, remove a disk, being guided by the instructions provided in the same section. At removal of a disk, it is possible to remove brake shoes also. |
9. Establish fixing plates of brake shoes, new brake shoes and laying. Check that the ends of blocks were correctly established on fixing plates and establish an internal brake shoe so that the indicator of wear was from above. |
|
10. Before installation of a support on new (thicker) brake shoes, it is necessary to take away the self-regulating mechanism back. For this purpose turn the support piston clockwise by means of flat-nose pliers which sponges are established in lock flutes (1) on the surface of the piston. Continue to turn the piston until it begins to rotate freely, then combine lock flutes with a ledge (2) on a support. |
11. Establish a support on brake shoes, having inserted a ledge on the back party of an internal brake shoe into a lock flute on the support piston. |
12. Establish the top and lower bolts and tighten them till the required inhaling moment (see the tab. Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections). |
13. Establish a wheel, then lower the car on the earth. Tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel till the required inhaling moment (see the tab. Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections). |
14. After completion of work, squeeze out a brake pedal several times for automatic adjustment of back brakes. Check the level of brake fluid, having added it if it is necessary. Check work of brakes before normal operation of the car.
