3.3.5. Ignition coil

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Take off a plastic cap of the coil.
3. Turn off two bolts of fastening of the socket of the coil and connect ohmmeter probes.
4. By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between positive and negative conclusions of the coil (are specified by shooters). Compare result to standard value.
5. Measure resistance of a secondary winding, i.e. between a positive conclusion of the coil and a high-voltage conclusion (are specified by shooters). Compare result to standard value.
6. If both resistance differ from standard, then replace the coil of ignition.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the thermal screen from the coil.
3. Disconnect wires from the coil, previously having marked. Unscrew screws of fastening of the coil.
4. Unscrew screws of fastening of the coil.
6. The coil is installed upside-down.
