1.6. Launch of the engine and driving

Before launch of the engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Examine the platform near the car.
2. Take the place, adjust the provision of a seat, a head restraint and a tilt angle of a wheel.
3. Adjust the provision of rear-view mirrors.
4. Close all doors.
5. Be fastened by a belt.

Before inclusion of a starter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put the car on the emergency brake. Switch off everything unnecessary consumers and devices of lighting.
2. On cars from mechanical KP press a coupling pedal to a floor and put KP control lever in neutral position. Hold a pedal pressed before start of the engine.
3. On cars with automatic transmission transfer the selector lever to situation P. If it is necessary to start the decayed engine during the movement, then transfer the lever to situation N. If the lever is in any situation corresponding to the movement, then the safety device will prevent inclusion of a starter.
4. Only on cars with automatic transmission press a brake pedal to the full and hold prior to the movement.

 Start of the engine


Prevention

Period of operation of a starter at start should not exceed 15 pages. Otherwise the starter and cables overheat.

Do not disperse sharply on the cold engine.

Esp the engine often becomes deaf or is badly started, immediately check a condition of the engine.


MODEL 2E

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Follow the instructions stated above.
Start under normal conditions, engine cold
2. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve to the full and release. At the same time the system of increase in turns of idling and the automatic starting arrangement join.
3. Take away a leg from a pedal of a butterfly valve and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key after start of the engine.
4. Let's get warm to the engine during 10 with then the car is ready to the movement.
Start at a negative temperature or after the parking within several days
5. Before inclusion of a starter press 2–3 times a pedal of a butterfly valve to the full and release. At the same time there is an enrichment of mix at launch of the engine.
6. Take away a leg from a pedal of a butterfly valve and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key after start of the engine.
7. Let's work to the engine during 30 with, quickly press a pedal of a butterfly valve and lower idling turns.
8. Let's get warm to the engine within several minutes then the car is ready to the movement.
Launch of the warm engine
9. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve approximately on a half of the course and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key and a pedal of a butterfly valve after start of the engine.
Launch of the hot engine
10. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve to the full and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key and a pedal of a butterfly valve after start of the engine. Not to press one pedal any more.
Launch of the decayed engine
11. Repeat the actions described above depending on engine temperature.
Refusal of launch of the engine
12. Be guided by the description in subsection 1.6.5.

MODEL 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE (FOR the CARS SOLD IN GERMANY)

Cars are equipped with multichannel system of direct injection of fuel (or consecutive injection) which automatically prepares the mix necessary for launch of the engine. Irrespective of a thermal state the engine is started as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Follow the instructions stated above.
Start under normal conditions
2. Take away a leg from a pedal of a butterfly valve and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key after start of the engine.
3. To warm up the engine only at a trip, but not idling. Move with a moderate speed until temperature of cooling liquid does not increase to operating level.
4. If the engine decayed, then start it, having repeated the procedure of start in normal conditions.
At refusal of launch of the engine
5. Be guided by the description in subsection 1.6.5.

MODEL 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE (FOR ALL CARS, EXCEPT INTENDED FOR GERMANY)

Cars are equipped with multichannel system of direct injection of fuel (or consecutive injection) which automatically prepares the mix necessary for launch of the engine. Irrespective of a thermal state the engine is started as follows.

1. Follow the instructions stated above.
Start under normal conditions

3. Let's get warm to the engine during 10 with then the car is ready to the movement.
4. In frosty conditions let's work to the engine within several minutes then the car is ready to the movement.
5. If the engine decayed, then start it, having repeated the procedure of start in normal conditions.
At refusal of launch of the engine
6. Be guided by the description in subsection 1.6.5.

MODEL 2C (ON THE CARS INTENDED FOR GERMANY)

Control lamp of prestarting heating

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Follow the instructions stated above.
Start under normal conditions, engine cold
2. Turn the ignition key in situation On, be convinced that the control lamp of prestarting heating lit up. Hold the ignition key in situation On until the control lamp does not go out.
3. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve to the full and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Take away a leg from a pedal of a butterfly valve and release a key after start of the engine.
4. To warm up the engine only at a trip, but not idling. Move with a moderate speed until temperature of cooling liquid does not increase to operating level.
Launch of the warm engine
5. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve approximately on a half of the course and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key and a pedal of a butterfly valve after start of the engine.
6. If the engine is not started, then perform operations for start-up in normal conditions.
7. If the engine decayed, then start it, having repeated the procedures described above depending on a thermal condition of the engine.
At refusal of launch of the engine
8. Be guided by the description in subsection 1.6.5.
9. Coupling guard.
10. The lower bolts of fastening of a case of coupling to the block of cylinders.

MODEL 2C (ON ALL CARS, KROM INTENDED FOR GERMANY)

Control Pampas of prestarting heating

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Follow the instructions stated above.
Start under normal conditions, engine cold
2. Turn the ignition key in situation On, be convinced that the control lamp of prestarting heating lit up. Hold the ignition key in situation On until the control lamp does not go out.
3. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve to the full and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Take away a leg from a pedal of a butterfly valve and release a key after start of the engine.
4. Let's get warm to the engine during 10 with then the car is ready to the movement.
5. In frosty conditions let's work to the engine within several minutes then the car is ready to the movement.
Launch of the warm engine
6. Press a pedal of a butterfly valve approximately on a half of the course and include a starter, having turned the ignition key in situation START. Release a key and a pedal of a butterfly valve after start of the engine.
7. If the engine is not started, then perform operations for start-up in normal conditions.
8. If the engine decayed, then start it, having repeated the procedures described above depending on a thermal condition of the engine.
At refusal of launch of the engine
9. Be guided by the description in subsection 1.6.5.
10. The lower bolts of fastening of a case of coupling to the block of cylinders.

Check of the car before a trip


Before a trip it is recommended to examine the car. Having spent several minutes, you will provide a safe and pleasant trip. Here only thorough acquaintance to own car and attentiveness is required.
