1.5.50. Fuel

GENERAL INFORMATION

The choice of the necessary brand of fuel is an essential condition of maintenance of the engine in good repair.

At an engine exit out of operation because of fuelling of inappropriate brand the manufacturer does not incur guarantee certificates and does not accept claims.

Fuel brand

To fill cars with petrol engines 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE only with unleaded gasoline.

Cars with the engine 2E are allowed to be filled with ethylated gasoline in the absence of unleaded.

To fuel cars with diesel engines only diesel.

To exclude a possibility of filling with ethylated gasoline, cars with engines 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE are equipped with a jellied mouth of a tank with the smaller section which the filling gun only from a column with unleaded gasoline enters.

Prevention

It is forbidden to fill cars with engines 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE ethylated gasoline. Otherwise catalytic converter fails and the system of purification of exhaust gases ceases to function. Besides, the cost of service of the car increases.

Octane (cetane) number of gasoline

Fill only gasoline with octanew (or cetane) the number provided below. Use of gasoline with lower octane number will cause the strengthened detonation. At a strong detonation the engine fails.

At a strong detonation which is shown even when filling with the recommended brand of gasoline or when maintaining the car on the flat road address to service of car service.

Nevertheless the short-term detonation at dispersals is admissible or when overcoming rise.

For petrol 2E engines – gasoline top-quality with octane number not lower than 91 (by a research method); type 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE – gasoline unleaded high-grade with octane number not lower than 95 (by a research method).

For diesel engines – fuel with cetane number not lower than 48.

Capacity of the fuel tank – 50 l.
