The tachometer specifies engine speed in thousands of turns/min. |
You monitor the indication of a tachometer at gear shifting to avoid an engine overload at increase of speed above nominal.
The movement on big turns of the engine results in its premature wear and in the increased fuel consumption. Remember that the engine speed is lower, the profitability is higher.
Prevention
Driving when the arrow of a tachometer is in a red zone is not allowed, otherwise the engine quickly fails.
