6.5.3. Sensor of an angle of rotation of a butterfly valve (TPS sensor)

GENERAL INFORMATION

The sensor of an angle of rotation of a butterfly valve settles down at an end face of a shaft of a butterfly valve (see subsection 5.12.).

Tracing the output tension of the sensor the electronic control unit can regulate supply of fuel according to the angle of opening of a butterfly valve. Break in chains or weakening of contacts of the sensor of an angle of rotation of a butterfly valve can cause spontaneous injection of fuel from a nozzle that will lead to unstable work idling since the control unit "takes" the changing signal for turn of a butterfly valve.

The order of all checks and installation of the sensor is described in subsection 5.12.
