This system is intended for catching of vapors of gasoline in the fuel tank, in the camera of a butterfly valve and the soaking-up collector, thereby preventing their hit in the atmosphere in the form of hydrocarbons.
The system consists of a tank with an absorber (absorbent carbon), the pipelines connecting an absorber to the fuel tank, a thermopneumatic valve and the control valve.
On the idle engine of couple of gasoline get to an absorber from a tank and the camera of a butterfly valve where there is their absorption. At start of the engine the tank with an absorber is blown by a stream of the air which is soaked up by the engine, couples are fond of this stream and are burned up in the combustion chamber.
The tank is equipped with three ball valves assembled in the uniform case. Depending on power setting and pressure in the fuel tank ball valves connect or separate a tank with a thermopneumatic valve (which is included consistently with the camera of a butterfly valve).
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Such malfunctions in system as failure of the control valve, damage of a tank with an absorber, stratification or cracking of hoses, the wrong accession of hoses, lead to unstable work idling and to deterioration in traction qualities of the engine. Check a condition of laying of a stopper of a jellied mouth of a tank (see subsection 5.7). |
2. Obvious loss of gasoline or a smell of gasoline in salon can be caused by leakage of fuel pipes, cracks or other damages of a tank with an absorber, failure of the control valve, and also a detachment, the wrong accession, perezhatiy, a mastication or mechanical damage of connecting hoses. |
3. Check a condition of each hose connected to a tank, surveying a hose on all length. If necessary replace a hose. |
4. Check whether there are dribbles of gasoline in the lower part of a tank. If there is a leak, then replace a tank and check a condition of hoses and correctness of their connection. |
5. Examine a tank. At detection of cracks or mechanical damages replace a tank. |
|
6. Check purity of the filter and serviceability of the control valve. Give to a tube for a tank purge air under small pressure. Air has to pass freely from other tubes. Otherwise replace a tank. |
|
7. Check work of a thermopneumatic valve. On completely cooled down engine give the manual pump air to channel A. The thermopneumatic valve should not pass air. Warm up the engine up to the temperature not below 55 °C. Now the valve has to pass air. Otherwise replace a thermopneumatic valve. |

PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Disconnect hoses from a tank, previously having marked them. |
2. Turn off fastening bolts, give a tank together with an arm down, disconnect hoses from the control valve and remove a tank from the car. |
3. Installation is carried out upside-down.
